I love traveling and I cannot explain how giddy it makes me feel to be able to book even the smallest trip.
I love finding the best local food spots and places to go see, because I love roaming like a local.
I’ve used Airbnb for a few trips within the US and abroad.
I find that my experiences are richer when I book through Airbnb.
I’m able to find everything I need to know about a specific place on their site. It answers questions about where to go, where to eat, and of course it includes the recommendations of previous travelers.
A few of my biggest pointers when traveling is to always have a list. A list of;
- Places/things you want to see
- Restaurants you want to go to
This way you always have something to look forward to and avoid standing around thinking about where to go next. Plus if you’re on a tight timeframe you won’t want to miss a thing.
I will say that one of the most amazing thing about Airbnb are the hosts. I’ve come across some amazing ones that have gone above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. By answering last minute questions or just checking on us while we were there.
They can give you all the local tips you need to have an amazing time. And one last thing I would say is be open to recommendations that they give you. I’m not saying you have to take every single one but if it sparks your interest why not.
We took a restaurant recommendation on our Florence trip and we had the most amazing time.
Another one we took was from Anthony Bourdain’s show on an episode that aired on Copenhagen, Denmark. They posed it as one of the happiest places on earth and it sparked my curiosity and I had to see it for myself. And that was the start of our trip planning to Denmark.
And you guys, I cannot tell you how happy I was to be able to see it in person. The amount of people that we met and just the experience, words cannot describe how amazing that trip was.
So use Airbnb to your advantage and curate an amazing trip experience!
